Old Donation Episcopal Church, Virginia Beach, Virginia

Old Donation Episcopal Church in Virginia Beach, Virginia grew from the original Anglican Lynnhaven Parish, part of the Church of England. The Lynnhaven Parish congregation first met in 1637 on the shores of today’s Lake Joyce. While there have been three church buildings and a period when today's church building was in ruins, the congregation has worshiped together continuously for 388 years. Old Donation was added to Virginia’s Landmarks Register in 1971, and to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.

This website is dynamic. Watch for it to expand with more details about our history, information about church architecture, artifacts, and the people buried in our graveyard. And expect the truth about our history as enslavers.
